About Skincare Forum
By The Skincare Forum Editorial Team · Updated 2026-08-18
Skincare Forum is an independent publication about skincare. Every substantive claim is labeled research-backed, mixed evidence, or convention, and the label is applied by a human editor, not generated.
What is Skincare Forum?
An independent, evidence-tagged publication about skincare, part of a small group of style and beauty sites from one publisher.
The group is disclosed on every site in it; there are no hidden connections between our publications. The same team builds facial-measurement software, which is why measurement, dosage and honest timelines are the house obsession.
What makes these guides different?
Every claim is labeled, sources are cited inline, and the weak evidence is called weak.
research-backed means peer-reviewed support, cited in the numbered sources. mixed evidence means real caveats, stated plainly. convention means tradition without trials, never oversold.
We publish no attractiveness scores, we do not moralize age, and our guides recommend seeing a professional whenever a question crosses from routine into health. The full system is in our editorial standards.
Why a forum, and why not yet?
Reference library first, so the standard is visible before the first post; founding members second, so the culture is set by people who joined for it.
Most of the internet's skincare talk happens in threads where "I read somewhere" counts as a source. A community moderated for evidence rather than engagement is worth building carefully. When registration opens, posts will be held to the same rules these guides model: claims tagged, sources attached where a claim is factual, financial and professional interests disclosed, progress photos under standardized conditions, no affiliate links. Details go to the launch list first: [email protected].
Who is accountable?
Guides are drafted with research tools and AI assistance, then fact-checked and edited by a human editor before anything publishes.
The editorial team is accountable for every word, and we answer our mail: [email protected]. Corrections are acknowledged in the article they amend, per our corrections policy.
